“The glory of God’s faithfulness is that no sin of ours has ever made Him unfaithful.”
– Charles Spurgeon
Father, You are perfect and holy and ever-true to Yourself.
Your Word stands when all of humanity falters.
Your sacrifice finished, salvation’s work complete, although I still live under construction.
Thank You for redeeming and restoring every bit of brokenness.
Your mercy heals every hurt and soul ache, washing away every last sin, even those still to be committed.
You not only forgive our sins, You walk away from the memory of them.
Teach me to trust that it is okay to do the same as You help me live in the freedom Jesus died for — a freedom that changes the trajectory of my future as Your gracious hand recalibrates my heart.
You bridged the chasm between us with Your Son, the perfect Representative of Your love.
He came as and remains Immanuel — with us always so nothing could separate us again.
I can never fathom the depths to which You descended to make me Your own, but I praise You for it.
Please keep me ever-mindful of Your mercy as I rest in the truth that Your grace will complete what Your grace has begun in me.
Teach me to walk more fully as Your daughter.
Wholly loved and without blame.
No strings attached.

This post is a little late but was written in conjunction with https://fiveminutefriday.com/2024/03/21/fmf-writing-prompt-link-up-blame/ Teaming up with an online group of writers who encourage others to share the words God has given them. The gist is to write for five minutes on a one-word prompt, then post your writing and link up with others who do the same — no overthinking, no deep editing, just free-writing in a short amount of time.
