A mother who is anchored in truth and filled with God’s Spirit is a threat to the darkness. So Satan comes to wear her down and distract her from her mission of prayer support, and offering her loving presence.
The enemy is insidious in his approach, luring us to neglect this holy calling. He targets us with fatigue and weariness, chipping away at our hope with things that seem mundane – a plethora of tasks repeated daily and seldom noticed, let alone appreciated.
But Father sees.
He sees your faithfulness in clinging to Him while tiny hands cling to you.
He sees your tiredness and frustration, but He also sees the heart that longs to honor Him despite your mistakes and your weakened, sinful state.
He sees, and He intervenes. Not by making you perfect, but by keeping you dependent. By drawing you to Himself in the middle of the messes and holding you close when the situation remains unchanged. Or seemingly unending. By cradling your tired soul and breathing life into your exhaustion.
Because God knows the power of your calling even when you don’t.
He knows that a mother anchored in Jesus can shift generations.
And He invites you to remember with Him.
He calls you to war with prayer, instead of fighting with words.
To yield to His refining, no matter how many times you return to Him with the same struggles. Because in the turning, you will find Him faithful.
Again and again.
The enemy may want to silence you, but God wants your words — your cries for help, your prayers for generations, and your praises for it all. Father wants you to turn to Him because this turning shakes the gates of hell.
So keep bowing your knees to Jesus and let His Spirit hover over you and the ones entrusted to your care. Anchor your heart to the One who overcomes the darkness. And though some days it seems only a flicker, keep shining, Mama.
Even in places where no one else sees.
Because Father does, and your faithfulness will not go to waste.
